Keep track of vehicles entering or exiting your property with the Mighty Mule FM131 Driveway Alarm. When a vehicle passes the sensor, the receiver emits an audible tone. Easy to Install and stake is included in kit. The electromagnetic sensor will sense large metal objects and send a signal to the interior base station to let you know someone is there. Install the batteries, near the installation site so the sensor can learn the area. Purchase the Mighty Mule Accessories at www.hardwaresales.com

What are Home security alarm systems?

At my parents I need a alarm system on my bedroom. I would need it to be wireless, easy to install, and under . It can be used

I need 1 door sensor, 2 window sensor, and a motion detector would be nice.

PLEASE HELP!!

To be clear, I am a writer, not a burglar. I’m writing a story, and I’ve run into a situation where my character needs to defeat a burglar alarm to get into a victim’s home. I don’t need a lot of detail about how to defeat the alarm, but I need to get him in through an alarmed door or window and I need to figure out how he can defeat the infrared sensor inside the house.

My initial thought is that he should be able to jam something in between the contact points on the door or window to allow the circuit to remain closed even when the door is opened, but I don’t know what. I piece of conductible metal? Something else?

No idea about the infrared sensor. (It can be another kind of sensor, too. Infrared just seemed the most common when I did my research about burglar alarms.) Anyone have any ideas?
