Personal panic alarm systems, medical alarm systems are the prefect gift for yourself or your mom and dad. We have a right to live in a safe, healthy, secure environment. Their medical reports will be pulled up immediately and authorities will be notified immediately as well. Alarm system representatives will stay on the line till someone arrives. Their conversation helps relax the individual and keeps them conscious. So why not gift life? I want to begin with something that catches the reader while using the 1st person present tense narrative.

eg.
"I am a bad person. I am bad because I cause harm to myself and others."

Assume this introduction continues for an appropriate amount of time (i.e. 5-7% of total story length – or less).

I then wish to "jump into" the story. This is where I’m running into trouble. In my head the story reads better jumping into the 1st person past tense narrative.

e.g.
"I was sitting at my desk reading a book when I heard an alarming sound. Upon investigating this startling occurrence I came face to face with an intruder. I stabbed him repeatedly with my letter opener".

But is it OK to switch like that? In a word I was taught, "no". Should it read:

"I am sitting at my desk reading a book and I hear an alarming sound. I begin to investigate this startling occurrence and I come face to face with an intruder. I stab him repeatedly with my letter opener".

How to feel safer in your own house?

Does anybody have any tips to feel safer in your own house?
Such as an alarm system, getting a dog, locking everything at all times, get screen doors, get sensor lights in your front yard/back yard, put your ladders in your garage so burglar’s don’t have access to your upstairs.

Stuff like that.
I was wondering if i missed anything that might help?
I am really concert about my family’s safety.
Crime rate has been going up in my neighbor hood.

Anything will help.
Thank you so much!

I live in an ok area most people dont have alarms.I have a dog.My neighbours have just put up a large sign saying Protected by intruder device.intruders may experience personal injury.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Alarm Randomly Goes Off?

I just bought a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee (no warranty), and I’m having issues with the alarm going off randomly. Sometimes it’s during the day, sometimes it’s in the middle of the night, sometimes it’s outside, sometimes it’s when it’s in the heated garage, sometimes it’s when I use the wireless remote to open the doors (not the panic button)… it’s just very random, and I can’t tell what’s causing it.

Also, when I use the wireless remote to unlock the doors, the horn will sometimes blow really loud like the alarm is about to go off, but it’s just one honk. When I lock the car with the wireless remote, it’s not nearly that loud.

Any ideas what is causing this and how I can fix it (without just disabling the alarm)?

Thanks!

Where should I advertise home alarm systems?

I work for ADT Security Services.
My job is to go out and knock on peoples doors and find those who are interested in a free alarm system for their home, with installation include. There is a activation fee and they have to pay monitoring fees of about – per month.

How can I find local people that are searching for something like this without having to knock on doors. I really want to generate sales without having to knock on doors.

More like people calling me interested to join instead.
Please help.

Thank you in advance.

Broadview (Brinks) Security?

Anyone know the prices of extra parts for a broadview system? i’m mostly interested in the price of smoke/heat detectors, extra door/window contacts, and motion detectors.

also does anyone know if the system is wireless? i couldn’t tell on their site, but i’m sure it is

also, would it be possible to enter the house using the remote (key fob) disarm button without the control pad making a loud announcement? what about putting it on "stay" mode after? i would like an alarm that allows me to enter without waking the whole house

thanks
they want you to sign up for a 3-year contract, so the whole hiring them and cancelling it and keeping the stuff would be expensive
