I bought a ringtone from verizon wireless through vzw tones, and it shows up when i go into vzw, but it does not appear in my actual ringtones, so i cant set it as an alarm tone or anything. HELP! please??? lol

Had an HP iPAQ PDA=non-user friendly- outlook wouldnt work w/it. I guess smartphone= way to go?
My criteria:
1. I process things visually, so I need to be able to see a full day view, week view, month view.
2. I have many things going on so id like alarm-reminders or free text reminders
3. cut & pasting for emails & tasks that dont get finished
4. cell phone w/current contract transferable, good reception
5. digital camera- good resolution
6. personal planner/organizer/contacts (transfer SIM card?)- bday reminders
7. music/movies- bonus
8. RELIABLE! no bugs, wont fail, good memory
9. great customer service since Im not tech savvy
10. planner should link to my cpu so I can print things 4 backup
11. wireless w/good speed/mozilla thunderbird is email for my work- access to this/VPN would help TONS.
12. when receive text, I dont need to exit net browser to view it or when receive call- doesnt erase text I was in the middle of

Today and a few other days, during my free periods i sometimes go into town and browse the shops. as i walk through the entrance to some shops, the alarm goes off, i find myself having to explain theres something (completely platonic) iside my bag thats setting some shop alarms off. Its really annoying and i hate the feeling of everyone looking at me and thinking im a theif!
I know its my bag and now anything im wearing cause i put my bag through individually.

Most days, In my bag, i have:
Some badges pinned to the front.
A PSP
A Laptop
A Laptop charger
Headphones
A Wireless Mouse
Some specticals
And some juggling balls (don’t ask )

What could it be thats setting the alarms off? Could it be my laptop? I sometimes leave it on standby whilst i shop; could it be because the hard drive contains magnetic disks, that the stores security detectors are thinking its a security tag?
