For those who may not know, Second Life is a virtual world environment program with a lot of power, letting you do all kinds of stuff. Here’s the Gentek STX-4501 complete fire alarm system I bought. It’s actually very realistic – the panel has audible silence, panic, reset, and access control. It also has the ability to tie in multiple systems, or separate them. Activating the alarm is as simple as touching a pull station. When you touch the pull again, it silences the alarm, but keeps the strobes flashing. It costs 0L.

So we are talking with the RCMP at the bottom of Gellatly RD. in West Kelowna and a pair of deer are wondering through the yard of a home that had been evacuate. A few minutes latter another patrol car arrives with 2 officers to check the home where the deer had just been. It seems the deer set off a burglar alarm. This is my new Accenta G4 intruder and fire alarm system. It has the new LCD keypad instead of the old LED version and guess what, it oinly cost me £30!!! The internal speaker is made by elmdene and it is EXTREMELY LOUD. When I said that I “put a sock in it” I actually didn’t put a real sock in it! Its the saying “put a sock in it!” which means shut up so I made the speaker shut up by putting some cotton wool under the speaker after practically destroying the non-removable securing clips!! If you have any old/second hand devices that you are going to chuck away then I will gladly give them a new home Thanks for watching!
